How We Chose this Name for Our Business!
The name "Kiwi's Edge" is a
double pun on NZ's place in this world, by those who call ourselves "Kiwis"
- see Kiwi Expat
Association; and
N.Z. Edge by Kevin Roberts, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi.
New Zealand on a
world map is often shown as being on the
very edge, but I think we also have an "edge" in other ways -
after all N.Z. did take the "America's
Cup" against better funded teams!
Thanks to our down-to-earth upbringing, practical "hands-on" approach to
problem-solving, and New Zealand's uniformly high level of education,
Kiwis do consistently "punch above our weight" - a boxing
phrase - in most endeavors that combine intelligence, creativity and
practical abilities.
We
live in Houston, after global careers in N.Z. & U.K. plus TX, CO, PA,
DC: now back in TX.
Bob was born and educated in New Zealand, emigrated to the US in 1972 and again in 1990
Diane was born in Galveston, and went on "FisherFolk" worship team to U.K.
from 1973-76.
Bob & Diane got married in 1977; they along with their two kids lived in
N.Z. from 1982-90.
